Get your students ready for the ultimate innovation challenge—JMT 2025!
The ‘Bharat Buildathon’ builds on more than a decade of K12 innovation events experience of Creya, hosting the ‘Ignited Minds Challenge’ and the ‘IIT Madras JMT’ with thousands of K12 students participating pan-India. Creya presents The Bharath Buildathon 2025 with T-Works, India’s largest Prototyping Centre, as its Strategic Partner and Woxsen School of Design as the Design Assessment partner.
What Makes Bharat Buildathon Unique in India?
- Immersion Phase : Teams choose a challenge for on-the-ground immersion about the problem and people affected through interviews, research and submit online their evidences and analysis for getting shortlisted to next round.
- Ideation Phase : Teams now ideate and submit their solution design in detail Online that will be assessed and 50 regional finalists from each of the 6 zones are will now invited to present their design in-person to a regional jury.
- Prototype Phase: Top 6 teams from each the 6 regional finals will be invited for 3-day on-site ‘prototyping’ finals at T-Works Hyderabad where they will go through the below:
- Attend bootcamps on 21st century technologies such as AI, Robotics, IoT, Databots, 3D Design etc
- Will spend time prototyping solutions based on their ideation design with access to tools & mentorship
- Will present their solution prototypes to a jury of industry/academia for deciding most innovative solutions
Event concludes with the prize distribution for the winners across the regional rounds and grand finale
How the Makeathon Works
- Students can form groups of 3 and register their teams across two categories
- Grades 6 – 8 ( Juniors)
- Grades 9 – 12 (Seniors)
- A school can register as many teams as they want under each category
- Once the registration deadline is over, all teams will be informed of the challenges they have to work on. The challenge theme will be different for Juniors’ and Seniors’ Category
- The teams are given instructions on how they can demonstrate the immersion and ideation for the challenge statement. These will be submitted online
- Based on the artifacts submitted online by each team, the IIT Madras Shaastra Team shortlists the 12 finalist teams in each Juniors and Seniors Category who will be invited for the 3 Day Prototyping finals at IIT Madras Campus between January 03rd to January 07th.
